Walked to and from a hotel to Blue Hills restaurant and the Arch was a perfect landmark to guide me. It is such an icon and so distinctive - have always loved the Square, not sure if it is because of its history and symbolism...More

If you like unique buildings then Washington Square Arch is a must see. Also very special to see and be able to compare if you have seen the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

An icon of NYC, The Arch is a perfect spot to meet up with friends. It is also the place where Sally dropped off Harry in the movie "When Harry Met Sally." Worth stopping by if you are in the neighborhood.

The Washington Square Arch is one of the most prominent features of Washington Square Park. It is worth going out of your way to check it out along with the rest of the Park. Admire the classic Roman-style architecture and gaze down world famous Fifth...More

The arch itself is great, and the area is quaint. There is a fountain that kids were playing in as it was a hot and humid day. Once you see the arch, the fun and thrills are over. Thought the grassy portions of the park,...More

Constructed in 1892 in the manner of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the Washington Square Arch is an impressive monument which receives very little attention when it comes to tourism in Manhattan. You'll find it at the NE end of the park facing 5th...More

I love this park and the iconic Washington Arch. Lovely area and park to just relax on a sunny afternoon in New York.

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
