Thanks for your volunteer service. We could not do what we do without our committed group of volunteers.

This little museum provides a look into the history of the area. For its size, there is a lot of information. There does not seem to be much order in how things are presented. It appeared that there were areas of interaction when there are...More

This is a great side trip visit while in the area. Gives all age an idea of what went on in the pioneer days of the area. They have guides that provide information throughout and plaques with info.

This is a great little museum. If you had kids along you may want to call ahead to see if the docent is there to give them a personal tour. She is quite good. Regardless, it is definitely worth a few hours. A good collection...More

This is a hidden gem in the middle of town. You must see this place. Many of the artifacts are genuine, not replicas. Plan to spend a few hours.

Went to see an art display but found the village much more interesting. Homes and shops are open to explore. Many different vehicles, farm equipment, mining and sheep shearing exhibits that were hands-on. Much larger and detailed than expected.

I assume you're referring to the upcoming Folklife Festival. That will be held June 22-23. We are hoping to have Mountain Men as part of our demonstrations those two days.
