This is Little Rock's Hidden Gem. After a climb to the top of Pinnace Mountain the views of the river valley are incredible. And if your not up for climbing there are beautiful trails for every age level of mobility. The little Maumelle River runs next to the park so you can actually canoe at the park. Bring your lunch,... Not a casual gawker hike. It will wind you and you can slip on the rocks. However I did see folks dragging little dogs and children to the top. I wouldn't. I also saw folks fall down. Doing that with a baby in a back pack is irresponsible in my opinion. It is a rough trail and if you are... More

great exercise with a very rewarding view at the end. The peak of Pinnacle is the highest in the area, so you get a 360 degree view of Central Arkansas. there is a moderately difficult way up, and another that is quite difficult. need to be in pretty good shape for even the easier one... the park at the base... This place has bike trails, hiking trails and a good climb to the top. Fishing with canoe rentals and the playground are fun too. Great place to stop by for a nice day out or for just a hour or so.

Parts of the hill are very rocky but can be easily climbed if you take your time. Be careful coming down can often be harder to control. Great views at the top.

Really enjoyed hiking around the base and climbing the peak. If going during the warmer months, highly recommend mosquito spray -- swarms follow while hiking. Great views at the top.

This is a great state park & is very close to the city. GREAT for a day trip of picnicking & hiking to the top of Pinnacle Mountain on 1 of the trails. The view from the top is gorgeous & looks out over the Arkansas River. Be SURE to carry plenty of water on the hike, especially if doing... More

I recently made my fifth trip up Pinnacle and it was my husband's first. We both enjoyed the climb and the views. Bathrooms are clean and relatively new.

First ever hike up a mountain with family. From reading comments I guess we were lucky to visit on a slightly chilly Thursday, as it wasn't too crowded. Went (slowly) up the more difficult East side, down the West and then around the base trail. Don't have to be in perfect shape to make it up as long as you... More
