This ruin has many rooms, keivas, and a large plaza. You are allowed to walk inside the rooms. Doorways are small so you must be able to crouch or crawl. Wear a hat. It gets pretty warm in the summer. 104º the day I visited.

We had lots of fun climbing the rocks behind the ruins. You can almost live in the ruins with a roof and everything. No trash and no bugs in early September.

Constructed over 4 centuries, Pueblo Bonito had as many as 805 rooms in 5 stories. The clearly marked tour route includes and overlook and stops at the earliest preserved section, the east plaza with numerous kivas and several storage rooms on the lower level.
