So. If you want a quiet time, do not go here. Prices are exhortbitant. Prices ridiculous. Children atrocious. Absurd expenditure of money.

A diverse and very spread out bunch of campsites. No swimming in the lake, but other than that, all your lake activities are here. Including boat rentals. .... and Coin Showers, Picnic Areas, a model airfield and a Camp Store. One can see the striking evidence of the lake receding on the sides and can walk on the shells and... We stayed here at the last minute in a tent this past Friday. We reserved it on the afternoon of our stay and got the last site in the place. Like some other reviewers mentioned, we had to pay for two nights in order to stay for just one because of the two night minimum. We too found the place... More

If you make reservations for the weekend, you must pay for the whole weekend regardless of only staying one night. Camping is ok. Hot and dry. You cant touch the water with your body as it is the water source for Ventura California. It does have a water park but be sure to buy tickets well ahead of when you... More

Although we found the area quite beautiful and discovered a eucalyptus grove filled with herons nests and new spring babies, the drought has taken a huge toll....boat ramps lead down to rocky river beds filled with spring flowers and greenery. The former lake lines are still visible, but it is estimated that within four years, the lake will be gone.

With the winter rains it was still green and beautiful at the lake. Trees, mustard plants and trees in bloom all over. Lake is still very low. There is a nest of Eagles to check out. Camp sites are close together so pray for quiet neighbors.

Had a great weekend camping at Lake Casitas with a big group of family and friends. Very nice camp ground with hookups and an easy check in process. There was a big grassy area for the kids to play by our campsite, as well as a playground. Safe for riding bikes or scooters and has a small water park that... More

My wife and I vacationed in Santa Barbara back in mid January, 2016. One of the highlights of our vacation was a drive we took into the mountains. The Lake Casitas Recreation and Campgrounds were a real scenic gem to visit. We will never forget the lovely scenic views of Lake Casitas. Highly recommend that anyone traveling in the Ventura... I really liked this place even though the lake is way down and you cant swim. The camp site we had was super. You can choose tent, standard, deluxe and executive. We had a deluxe site with water and electric. Nice grassy area. Lots of room between sites. Plenty of room for a small trailer and a big tent. Clean... More
