This large monument is beautiful! Take the time to read it. Remember what it stands for. The views are amazing. A must see when visiting the Yorktown Battlefield.

Seeing this structure in pictures is one thing, seeing it in person is absolutely breathtaking! You can see it from the walking trail from the battlefields.

This monument is beautiful. It has an interesting history. It is in a beautiful spot in Yorktown. Great place for pictures. Don't forget to look at the panorama of the York river.

It's semi impressive. If in Yorktown you should go see it, but unless you really are into monuments it isn't something you would go out of your way to visit.

After touring the museum and the battlefield driving tour finishes up at the monument. Lovely visit this time of year... no large crowds anywhere.

Whenever we visit the Williamsburg area, I become interested in the history of the American Revolution. Seeing this monument reminds me of what occurred here and the sacrifices that were made.
