I was really surprised to see how many kids can stand still and quiet for that long! All that waiting pays off, when you feel the tiny feet of a little hungry birdie landing on your hand! Amazing experience!

You can make fun of Cleveland all you want, but the city has an outstanding metro parks system. I have no idea why they are called reservations though. Where I come from that means Indian lands and the only Indians I know of anywhere around...More

I've driven through the reservation plenty of times in the past, usually to experience Autumn at it's finest. This time I had all afternoon and decided to walk. What I thought was just a simple driving path for cars, bikes and hikers, turned out to...More

Brecksville Metropark is one of Clevelands finest. Bridle trails, walking trails and a walk/bike path. The bridle paths are easily connected to hike 6-8 miles. Deer Lick Cave, Chippewa Creek. A great park for picnics.

This was a quick stop so we didn't see much. My grandson of 12 had been there previously with his dad and loved it. He skipped stones and played in the creek. They were there for over two hours enjoying nature.

Don't get me wrong, Brecksville Reservation is an absolutely gorgeous park but it is hurt by its lack of directional signs inside. Of the five cars driving into the park that were part of my party, only one managed to find our intended location without...More

We are so fortunate to be living in an area with so much preserved natural landscapes. This is one we take out of town guests and they are always amazed.

This is next to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Walking distance from my house. It's beautiful and I go there often.
