We were in Bethlehem for Christmas displays and to visit the various Moravian historical sites (the Protestant group from the now-Czech Republic that settled Bethlehem 275 years ago). We had a pass to four of the sites that had "historical Christmas tree" displays. The others were interested as historical sites, with always enthusiastic and well-informed volunteers, as we expected. But... More

First of all, let me explain my biases: I've visited a lot of museums, and new ones I tour have a lot to live up to. I understand that a small museum tucked away in a corner of Bethlehem, PA isn't going to live up to the Art Institute of Chicago, or the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, or... More

We truly enjoyed our visit to the museum. Staff there was friendly and helpful and provided a tour. The place is beautiful to look at and we greatly enjoyed the exhibit that was showing during our visit (we saw the Steampunk exhibit). Right in the heart of historic downtown, so after your visit you can walk right into town.

This museum is housed in what had been three homes that have become an integrated museum space. That alone made it a very interesting place to visit. Again, as in all the places we visited in Bethlehem, The guides were interested in us and interesting to listen to. We had 4 in our group and we had time to ask... More

We recently donated our dining room table to the museum. It dates from about 1880. On the visit we also were impressed with the many artifacts they had on display. Many doll houses of all sizes and ages. Photos of early Bethlehem. It is part of Historic Bethlehem Moravian Museum and is affiliate of the Smithsonian.

We arrived shortly before closing and they were kind enough to stay late and give us a personal tour. They were so friendly and knowledgeable. The collection of household items is impressive and there is an area dedicated to just dollhouses. There are stairs on the tour and I'm not sure if there is an elevator.

Have been here a few times and really enjoyed this last visit. Saw very old maps of Bethlehem in addition to many belongings of Annie Kenmerer. Our guide was very informative and answered all questions. Definitely a place to visit!

Had a great tour of this museum. Our docent Rachel was excellent, a fountain of knowledge! Interesting decorative arts collection. The various Doll houses were unexpected and delightful.

Special among specialty museums in smaller cities. It stands out and has been recognized by the Smithsonian. My review can only confirm what its own website and many positive reviews describes. It's a special place at Christmas and I imagine from parts of rotating collection I saw, it remains a must see on your exploration of historic Bethlehem. Nearly 300... More
