My husband and I went to this spot since it highly praised for obvious reasons. Sorry to say we couldn't get around the whole lake due to time but it was indeed lovely!

Hike this place, please. The lake is gorgeous with a short Loop around the lake 2-3 miles. The Convict creek trail ascends into the John Muir wilderness and offers amazing views and challenging hiking. So many people fishing at the lake for brown and rainbow...More

My husband and I went to Convict Lake and we were amazed by its beauty. We went for a hiking. The trail is easy and well planned. We took 2h20 walk to make the full circle of the lake. The views are breathtaking!!

We hiked around the trail with our 8 year old and 4 year old. It was a bit tricky in some locations due to so much water. But we had a wonderful morning!

Convict Lake is an amazing lake for hiking and fishing. There is a walking trail around the lake. We only caught one fish but turned it loose. The mountains surrounding the lake are beautiful. We were there on Memorial week-end so it was really crowded....More

Great place for a picture. Nice trail. Not a lot of spots to park. Come early or dine at the restaurant then enjoy a nice walk.

Yep but there are a lot of people fishing which means you can get tangled on broken fishing lines or hooks.
