Beautiful and imposing early 20th century building designated a National Historic Landmark. It is impressive both from the outside and inside (at the building courtyard), day or night. It is also interesting to have a statue (William Penn’s) at the very top of the building.

Working municipal building and the largest in the world. I recommend taking the tour where you'll learn interesting tidbits like it's always had elevators, but they were originally steam powered. The building is stunning even if it is decaying a bit.

We booked the tour (unfortunately the tower was't open due to weather conditions). It was a very informative tour inside and out and took about 2 1/2 hours or so. We saw the city council chambers, reception rooms etc. The history is fascinating. Really worth the price ~ which was very reasonable. I think it was reduced to $8.50 per... More

Having travelled most of our great nation, I think it is safe for me to say that personally, I think that this is one of the most beautiful buildings in America. I may be biased, having lived in Philadelphia for four years and living in South Jersey for about twelve before that, visiting Philly often. This is one of my... More

Once the tallest habitable building in the world, the Philadelphia City Hall still stands looking grand in the heart of the city. The building is majestic and has unique architectural and sculptural features. Very hard to miss it.

Must see spot in Philadelphia right in the center of Center City. Just enjoy the sites, walk around Dilworth Park, Ice Skate in the Winter or play in the fountain in the summer. Also small cafe and grille for drinks or bite to eat.
