I liked this museum as a young person on school field trips. However, as a Drexel Alumni I was invited to a Drexel after dark event last night. There are far more fewer exhibits , and they are really, really, very old! I do understand...More

The Academy is a nice museum located next to nearby attractions such as the Franklin Institute. Various animals on display ranging from moose to polar bears to dinosaurs. Overall, I would recommend checking out the Academy and then continuing your travels to nearby attractions.

I was staying nearby at the Windsor Suites Hotel and found this gem while walking about the city. The dinosaur exhibit is good but the live butterfly exhibit was my favorite. If you have kids in tow they will love this museum.

Two adults, two teens, a nice afternoon. There were a couple of presentations that were really geared to 4 year-olds. If you don't mind little children then you will have a nice time. The museum was fine to visit for a couple of hours -and...More

This was a great place to take my two young grandchildren, ages 3 & 4. It wasn't overwhelming and there was much to see and do. Hands on things, like digging for fossils was a blast. The dinosaurs were awesome and we all really enjoyed...More

My wife, 8 year old son, 5 year old daughter and I enjoy coming here. My father in law has a family membership though so admittedly it does not directly cost us to visit. This museum is worthwhile to explore for a couple of hours....More

I always loved going here when I was little. The scenes with the animals in the boxes always amazed me, I felt like I was really in the scene, taken back in time. Great for kids and adults.

It's an okay museum if you're into dinosaurs. Even then, the Franklin Institute is more comprehensive and offers more. It is okay for young children (think under 7) There are dioramas with stuffed animals that live in different climate zones, but that is about it....More

The Diorama's are from the 1930s for the most part. That is not say that they are not well done. But they could use some updating. My son and his family has a membership so it was a great deal getting in. We enjoyed showing...More

There is a surface lot directly behind the Academy of Natural Sciences. The address is: 114 N 19th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 We have used it several times. It costs a few bucks but is worth it for the convenience. Cheers!

I just was there for a day visit. I didn't even know the museum had sleep over events. Sorry I couldn't help :(. I think your best bet is to call the museum and ask that question: Phone: (215) 299-1000
