The park is small square and a good place for dogs to interact and get in their walk. On the weekends, small vendors line up all around the park, selling local produce and goods. This is a great morning activity to start your day.

Devon is A-one! Moving to the neighborhood so’ve been now 3 times, all excellent.
Restaurant Week Menu was top notch. I’ve had the beautiful big shrimp cocktail twice. The Rittenhouse Sushi Roll very good. So many choices , from apps to entrees. Oysters Rockefeller also wonderful.
My husband says the lobster bisque is the best he’s ever had, and he should know!
They offered a chocolate cake with a wonderful strawberry ice cream and whipped cream … 2 thumbs up!
Service is very professional. We spoke with the manager concerning a coupon we received and forgot to use . He was beyond accommodating and solved our issue in the most amazingly easy way. Great people person. Devon is lucky to have him at the helm.
Recommend highly.

There is a constant smell of weed coming from this park. It's not legal to smoke marijuana in Philadelphia. I don't know why the City, then, let's this happen. Makes you want to avoid this previously lovely park.

We had this on our list of things to do in Philadelphia.
On the plus side it is right in the centre of all the shops and thus a pleasant place to stop. On the day we were there , there was a market along one side selling local goods, flowers, veg etc
The park itself was a bit dirty, with a lot of litter and although there were some professionals eating their lunch there were also a few youngsters smoking cannabis which was off putting.

I have been to Rittenhouse Square many times, most recently just last month. It truly is a lovely spot, a beautiful and peaceful park and it is right in the City Center. Shops and restaurants very nearby. A lovely area of Philly.

Ritttenhouse Square is a lovely park in the center of the city in the neighborhood called Rittenhouse Square. Perfect for a midday or early evening stroll. There is luxury housing that surrounds the square. A great place for some rest and quiet time.

Went there solo and had a very peaceful feeling when I was walking around it. It’s not to big and a great place to stay for a little rest. Perfect for a picnic or reading a book.

Rittenhouse is basically a large dog park and often overrun with people. It is cleaned up a few times a year and the grass turns green and the flowers bloom. But it is basically an unhealthy environment. Every summer after sitting in the park, for even a few minutes, shortly thereafter I find bulls-eye welts from no-see-um bites on my ankles and legs. There are usually a half dozen or more unwashed street people, leaving a stink in the air and stains on the wooden benches. Earlier this week as I was trying to enjoy lunch in the park I noticed a "street person" slumped on an opposite bench stir himself, lifting a shirt sleeve he revealed a syringe stuck in a bloody arm.
