Pleasant time-out from the hustle & bustle of the city

A lovely park to spend some time in away from the noise of the city, full of locals having some time to reflect, mummies with buggies etc etc

I walked through here daily going to work. Beautiful park with a lot of activity and spice. Great place to have an outdoor meeting or just converse with friends.

Two blocks by two blocks by two blocks by two blocks... Rittenhouse Square is a gem of a park within the city. From early morning through evening folks gather in true city fashion.... Walkers or joggers along the perimeter, wander through the circular path, sit on one of the many benches or along the fountain in the center, picnic among... More

A few pleasant cafes with outdoor seating overlook this park. Nice to sit and relax in the park just to watch the beautiful people go by - eclectic mix. Benches and welcoming shade in this no-smoking square. Police presence - feels safe. Nice shops and restaurants in the neighborhood.

A calm relaxing space in the city. Beautifully peaceful, it is a great place to relax, walk your dog or just people watch.

We came to Rittenhouse several times to eat our food or sit while waiting on a table. The square was decently clean and was pretty with all the fountains and statues. Lots of people just enjoying some free time and green space! You might even get to see a street performer! A plus is that Trinity Church is at one... More

I would advise people not to venture out at night as the users of the park undergo a major transfiguration from respectable visitors and working professionals to the low life. The last time I visited there was a murder at 4 in the morning. When underemployed people have no discretionary funds, they will be predatory on the well to do.... More

What a beautiful and relaxing place in the heart of the city. So much history to see here. Lots of trees and water attractions. Great memorials.

the farmer's market is a bit small, but does offer a lot. the park is very mixed - there were a lot of people picnicking and dogs walking, but also some homeless people and beggars. the park is really well shaded and great for afternoon people watching.

Verdant public square, with nice walkways and benches. There are numerous cafes and shops in the area. Great place for people (and dog) watching.
