Four floors of Jewish history. Enjoyed the exhibit on the top floor concerning setting up the Jewish state in 1917. Museum is somewhat overwhelming and after two floors decided to leave and maybe go back the next day.

Interesting museum, very friendly staff. Interesting displays of early Jewish Settlers. I enjoyed the time I spend there, wish I would have gone back the next day.

Not being Jewish, I was not in a rush to get to AMJH- wish I had gone sooner. This is first a museum of American History - as seen through the lens of Judaism.

Captivating 4 hour visit ...in Philly for my sons law school graduation...chose this and the art museum...never made it to the 2nd museum...this is truly the story of American Jewry...great museum gift shop too!I have a new mezuzah to welcome friends into my home!

A visit for a couple of hours is fine but the more time the better. The museum offers docent-led free one-hour tours at 11:30 and 2:30 each day. Take a tour if possible to get a feel for all the history that is covered on... More
