Walked to Antique Row, followed the signs and then realized we had passed through it without seeing an open or welcoming antique store. This was in the middle of a beautiful spring week day. After checking the map and other reviewers, we realized the area isn't what it used to be. Nice walk, nice area - no worth seeking out for antique buffs.

Unfortunately the antique shops on Pine Street aren't what they were 10+ years ago. In fact, you'll have to look hard to actually find any real antiques. Shops and wares vary. An interesting people watching stroll in good weather.

think it deserves two rating but was trying to be nice. The antique stores that still exist have odd hours. The walk is better than the actually stores on the row. If you are searching for antiques skip it and find something better.

Out of towner visited the Antique Row with money in hand. My first impression, which is what is all about, were dealers were rude, unwelcoming. Asked one dealer about an item and response was rude, like I should have ALREADY known the answer. And another dealer last thing to say to me after telling me to leave the store because she was too busy was "we would like you do that [leave]." What happened to sorry!? Or hope you can return, here is my card, etc. I felt like I was a burden to them. No wonder that location is going down hill. They FORGOT why they are there.

For travelers reading this..my recommendation to avoid is to visit Old City. While the dealers are few, they welcomed me, told me they would ship out of town, asked about my home, what I am looking for, etc. Now that is a nice experience. Go to Old City.

Very few shops, a lot of empty storefronts. Spend your time elsewhere.

Historic Antique Row has taken a bad rap lately... Pine Street was and still is a GREAT place for all to shop.... You can find Antiques, treasures from past, present and future!!!!!! It is great to see every store front filled with new shops... If you want to shop, shop Pine Street!!!! Pine Street is the place to be!

Antique Row seems a misnomer these days. The antique stores that still exist have odd hours and a few and far between. There are plenty of other retail and quirky venues to check out.....just don't expect antique store upon antique store....you will be sorely disappointed.

While I love spending the day between 9th and 11th and Pine and then heading over to South Street for the day, Antique Row's demise may not necessarily be the crash of 2008 (which was my original graceful conclusion), the dealers have always been aloof and treated customers like a bother and probably not worth their time. There's a reason why decorating and "uniques" shoppes are taking over Pine Street while antique shoppes are closing...it's called pretentiousness. You are a shoppe owner, relying on customers to survive, not an international diplomat.

Many antiques dealers have shut shop these days but a handful still remain. Great place to browse or buy. I especially like Blendo, a not-strictly-Antique store at the corner of 10th & Pine offering some old and new tchotchkes at reasonable prices...

You can easily visit Antique Row and South Street on foot during the same outing. Lots of beautiful shops and interesting window gazing. Especially nice is The Spirit of the Artist, which carries only American, handmade work in a wide range of media--gorgeous wood carvings, pottery, glass, jewelry. Loved it. www.sotagifts.com
