I came here with my four year old son and we stayed for 4.5 hours and had a great time. There were tons of interactive exhibits that kept his attention and I think that for older kids it would be even more fun. The only drawback was that the kids room was closed and there were no indications on the... More

We visited a full day. We did not have tickets for imax or other theaters because general admission and robot experience gave a lot to see. Many hands on observations. Great!

Initially I'm admittedly a little biased towards the Franklin Institute, because my wife and I got married here a decade ago. That being said, while some of the permanent exhibited are getting a little tired, there is plenty to do here in the are regular museum. But the brand new Lost World exhibit that opened yesterday is awesome. It not... More

I've been there only once a week ago, but it was great. There's more exhibits than I expected. There's a planetarium, and they focus on the science of everything from the human body to even sports. It's like they have games solely for the enjoyment of visitors. I highly recommend this for science buffs, kids, and school field trips.

The Franklin Institute is a Philadelphia landmark: when we visited, it was full of children on field trips. As a result, the place buzzed with youthful curiosity. The exhibits are interactive and very well done: the halls devoted to the changing climate and the brain are particularly recommended. A must see on any family visit to Philadelphia.

Great way to spend a few hours. Mostly geared towards families with children with lots of hands on exhibits. Foyer and the building is impressive. Very similar to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto.

An excellent science museum. Tons of hands-on exhibits. Great for families and children. Even adults will have a good time. Quite a few Franklin artifacts scattered through out the museum. Great science store.
