Standing in the center of the park, you can see the history any direction you look. It is a beautiful park and there is a good chance someone dressed in Revolutionary clothing will walk by.

We were very lucky with such warm sunny weather in October. This is a lovely place to walk round and soak up the atmosphere. Very Olde Worlde and immaculately kept.

The Independence Mall is actually the 3 block section of Philadelphia bounded by Race, Chestnut, 5th & 6th Streets including the Liberty Bell Center, the National Constitution Center, the Free Quaker Meeting House and the Independence Visitors Center. Underneath is parking in the center of Philadelphia. Surrounding this area is the Independence National Historic Park, including Independence Hall and Congress... More

Paradise for the history buff. Everywhere you look is the stuff you studied in history class. Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Carpenter Hall, Benjamin Franklin's Grave and more are either on the mall or a short walk away. A bit of a hassle getting into Independence Hall because of having to select a specific time to go but its not a... More

Independence Mall is a must see to a first-time visitor to Philly. Our time was short, but a staff member gave us a tip about entering Independence Hall. The tour was free, but required tickets from the visitors center. The staff member said to hang around, some people did not always make it back for their slotted time, and sometimes... More

I haven't visited the Hall in ages. I just love the history and the wealth of knowledge the people that work there have on our nations history. I highly recommend the trip. January and February are free admission into the building and the security line was super short~

I braved a show storm to come down here and see the things I had always heard about growing up. The assembly room, the original senate and legislative chambers, the original Supreme Court's chamber, and the original founder's documents. If you're an American, or if you're not, you just have to come and see. The park rangers know their stuff,... More

This is the large mall behind Independence Hall. It includes the Liberty Bell building and is bordered by stores and business buildings.

Very knowledgeable staff, proud of our history, friendly and personable. Tours were about 20 minutes in each building. A must visit for every American and out of country tourists alike.
