This is part of the national historical site and is the green space all the buildings and museums surround.

My family and I spent a wonderful few days here! It was clean, well-managed, organized, with friendly people staffing the attractions. Something was always going on! So much to see and do, and you feel safe touring the attractions.

Independence Mall is absolutely surrounded by history. From the Liberty Bell, to the Constitution Center, The Jewish Museum to the US Mint, its all right there. A great place for a picnic or just to people watch. Love Phili!

Lovely old architecture and green spaces make this a great area to visit to get away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle of the city. Some great picture opportunities as well.

The Mall was delightful even in 11 degrees. The Christmas decorations were delightful. The shops interesting and fun. Definitely a visit during the holidays!

There is so much history in this small area. From seeing Constitution, Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed.

I would say 1.5-2 hours should be good. If you rush and try really hard you can finish it in 45 mins - 1 hour. If I were you I would skip Mutter Museum if I run short on time.
