Very beautiful, peaceful. Kind of a vacation-from-your-vacation day. Go in the Fall when the colors are changing. I really don't remember seeing many "flowering" plants, and I'm a perennial gardener.

Easy 2.5 hour drive from the Washington DC area. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely gardens but the best part was the Patrick Dougherty branch art sculptures "Waltz in the Woods" and the outdoor, running model G-scale toy train garden. We had a bite to eat at the Cafe and found the limited choices of food to be just perfect.... fresh... More

We attended an event at this location. If you have not been here it is an elevated series of platforms connected to what are best called treehouses. It is an extremely unique place, which made the party that much more fun. As night fell, the under lighting gave us the true feeling you were up in the trees. Again, unique,... More

I love going to gardens and arboretums so I was extremely excited to visit the Morris Arboretum. Unfortunately, my visit was a massive disappointment. First of all, the Morris Arboretum is overpriced. They charge $16 to walk around nature when Wissahickon Park is located a few miles away and is completely free. When I went the grounds were not well... More

When you go there leave your map behind and just explore the grounds! There is something exciting and new just about everywhere. This trip is perfect for families of mixed ages!

Beautiful grounds to meander at your own pace. The rose garden and fernery were especially nice! I went while the "A Waltz in the Woods" display was up, and that was really interesting to see and walk through!

It was our first visit back since late Winter. We made the visit especially to see the installation by Patrick Dougherty. We were thrilled to finally see the Rose Garden in full bloom and the honeybees dancing amongst the smorgasbord of flowers! It's a great place for kids of all ages, with lots to do, see and explore! If you're... More

This is one of my favorite places in Philadelphia. It is a wonderful place for adults and children. I took two of my grandchildren the other day and they just loved it. It is a peaceful, beautiful place and definitely worth a visit. Attractions for the kids are the Garden Railway, Out on a Limb, the Birds Nest and the... More

We very much enjoyed our trip to the Morris Arboretum. The real highlight is their large outdoor train display, which is sure to delight both adults and young children who enjoy those types of displays. We also really liked the different sculptures and statues we encountered. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that I... More
