We came here to see Erasure on their World Be Gone tour. Ground floor seats just under 1000 people and there is good legroom - just enough to get up and dance! Not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics did suffer a bit, but...More

I brought my mom here for a screening of The Princess Bride and a Q&A with Cary Elwes afterwards. The seats were comfortable, not a bad seat in the house (we sat four rows from the top, left center), and the staff was great. I...More

A very nice, small (all of the seat positions looked good), but old theatre. Easy in & out. Extremely friendly staff. Clean bathrooms & a little lobby refreshment stand. The theatre is charming & old, so the seats are worn to the bone.

Wow- this Theater is a hazard. Saw a great show but seats with hand rest missing, seats cramped, no handrails on steep steps. I even saw cords on the floor that could have caused people to trip! Ripped & hanging material . Women had to...More

The show was fantastic. Like many people commenting, the theater needs some TLC. It is unfortunate that the theater is in such a state. The seats are shabby and in need of new padding and covering. The steps in balcony are quite steep, and there...More

Beautiful historic theater on “Arts Avenue “ offered the Pennsylvania Ballet, so we gave it a try. Great performance ! Excellent orchestra! What a treat! Seek this wonderful group out—well worth the effort for tourists!

We attended a matinee performance of Shen Yun at the Merriam Theater. The performance was spectacular as you can tell by the clips seen in the ads for it on television. But this review is not about Shen Yun, but instead about were we saw...More

The show here is the event, not the Merriam. This faded Dame wears signs of glory past but is much in needed of TLC. Seats are firm and spacing between rows narrow. A long show could be taxing. Floors have odd pitches to them that...More

Great show but tight quarters. The place is old so it's understood...but just saying. Was surprised to see no handrails; probably because it's so old that "grandfather rules" apply. However, steps are steep and if you're older, could be a little scary.
