We wanted to see the home of the 1st president both of us remember, and loved the step back to the 50's and 60's of our childhood. You must do this from the visitor's center, but a good bit of it is self guided so...More

Nice to visit and President's home as it provides insights into the man- this was no exception. Tour started at Gettysburg Battlefield Visitor Center via a shuttle bus of 7 minutes to the home. Price was $7.50 pp. Tour bus leaves every 30 or 60...More

Seeing The Eisenhower home and farm was a step back in time. This was the home Mamie and Ike bought for themselves. The home has been left just as it was when Mamie passed away. It is still a working farm. You get a great...More

We were on an adventure to Gettysburg Battlefield and took the extra side trip ticket to the Eisenhower Home. A very awesome surprise that we hadn't counted on. I can honestly say that we enjoyed this site thoroughly! One of the great Presidents in American...More

We visited on a HOT (97 degree) day so, in all honesty, we did far less walking than we had intended. We sat in the shade for a presentation on Eisenhower and the cold war U2 situation. Very interesting. The guides were informative and very...More

You have to buy your tickets at the National Park visitors center, climb aboard the shuttle bus, and head off to the Eisenhower's beautiful home. It's beauty lies in the land in my opinion. There is a gentle breeze rolling in from the nearby hills...More

The house is furnished in late 50's style and looks remarkably homey and unpretentious. Well worth visiting. We visited Truman's home last year and the differences were really interesting. Takes about 1 1/2 hours including bus ride (mandatory) each way from visitor center.

Great tour and it was interesting to see how the President lived in Gettysburg. Gives an appreciation of him and Mamie. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed touring the Eisenhower home and farm. The Eisenhowers purchased it for their retirement. The home dates back to the 1950's.

Really nicely preserved just the way Ike and Mami lived. House was best but it was real peaceful walking the farms. Suggest using phone on the farm walk as it will give you more insight as to what you are seeing. As with any national...More

I think they were about $ 7.50 p/p. Can be purchased at the battleground visitor center. There is a shuttle bus from there (no private cars allowed at the farm).

The farm is open year-round, however the hours vary based on the season. The best choice is to check out the official NPS website for Eisenhower NHS; or to call the Site itself or the Gettysburg NMP Visitor Center... More
