Many places to stop and spend money in Gettysburg. This one was relatively inexpensive ($8.95 for adults, a bit less for kids). Like many of the other "pay-for" sites, it tends to repeat a lot of what you can see for free. One added feature...More

Love what the new museum is like. The kids will enjoy the 3D glasses and viewing around the area. Disappointed on the change with the end wherein there used to be lights and talking but now only once does it light up with shooting shown....More

We have a 9 and 7 year old. We didn't want to do a bus tour because it was expensive for all 4 of us and I knew they would get restless and bored if it was too slow. We looked at the carriage rides,...More

They do reenactment sin front of this place and it was the best! We enjoyed seeing them cooking and dressed in their historical garb. Worth a quick visit. Was in and out in less than a hour.

Place has been redone recently but is still worth your time to stop. Good history at your own speed. The gift shop is immaculate compared to the others in town.

Thank you for the review! We pride ourselves in our museum and our gift store! We have one of the largest gift shops in town, and try very hard to offer a wide selection. Thank you for stopping by to see us! Stephanie

My family and I visited here five years ago and again on our most recent trip. Five years ago the business was basically a wax museum that showcased individuals throughout the Civil War. All those figures have been replaced with new exhibits that include 3D...More

Thank you for your review! We did undergo changes in 2013/2014 in an effort to update our museum's offering, and what we cover. Talking to visitors, schools, teachers and tour leaders, we found overwhelmingly, visitors are looking for a more engaging experience, and something they...More

My family and I went to see the museum and the 18-minute movie. Recommend going here with the kids. It was a "go-at-your-own-pace" place and mixed in some 3D visuals too. The movie was really interesting shown on a screen above figures in a posed...More

Thanks for your question! There is parking on-site, directly behind the museum. If you happen to park elsewhere in town, there is a trolley service that you can ride as well. Thanks!
