The size of the battlefield is surprising. There are over 1400 monuments located through-out the area. Do take the Battlefield bus tour. It is a history lesson on wheels. The museum is full of fantastic items and artifacts.

Liked this museum. There were many rooms of artifacts to browse and several videos to watch. A must IMHO for civil war buffs visiting Gettysburg. Enjoyed the cyclorama. Had a nice lunch in the cafeteria with soups and sandwiches, hot dogs.Staff friendly and helpful.

A nice location to view information about Gettysburg. The gift shop was good, I got some items small enough to fit into my suitcase. There is a lovely statue of Abe Lincoln that you can view near the museum entrance.
