I am not the Civil War buff my husband is, but I learned so much in this museum. We enjoyed the myriad of choices. I even learned that some states fought for both sides.!

What a wonderful treasure! We visited the museum and watched the film on the war which gave a great overview of the 3 day battle. The film was followed by visiting the Cyclorama depicting the battle scenes. Since we didn't have time to visit the museum AND the battlegrounds, we chose to tour by car while listening to a terrific... More

We as a family of 6 visited the Gettysburg Battlefield and decided to pay the extra $ to have a Guide ride in the car with us and explain the battle. It was the best spent $ ever, our guide Dave was so knowledgeable and made the battle feel like you were a part of it. He was eager to... More

Enjoyed the light show but maybe a little on the expensive side. Typical gift shop. We stopped in Gettysburg on our way to D.C. and it was too cold to walk around so we would like to return in the fall.

This place is fantastic for an introduction as to what happened here in Gettysburg. The film is excellent and informative. The cyclorama is a sight to behold. Museum is interesting with lots of interesting memorabilia. Im sure the car tour is worth it if you have children.

This was a fantastic experience. I wish we had many more hours to explore the inside and outside of this great museum. The movie and cyclorama did a great job putting you in a position to understand how those 3 days transpired. Very awe inspiring.

I recommend stopping here first before you do anything. Also the parking lot fills up so expect a long walk to the doors. Other than typical stuff a visitor center would have, this one has a cyclodome. This is a room with a 360 degree painting along the walls. In the gift shop are CD's to do the self guided... More

The new Visitor Center and The Museum are a must for first time visitors. We have been there several time and always enjoy walking through the museum. The parking is horrible through. get there early or you will have to walk a ways.
