If you are reserving a guide to drive your vehicle around the battlefield, I would definitely recommend Dave Donahue. We were given Dave at random. It turns out he is a veteran and a historian and a wealth of knowledge. My Dad is a bit of a Civil War buff and he peppered Dave with questions. All were answered and... More

CIvil war buffs meet their dream due to the well done museum, movie, and cyclorama. Recommend you check this out before going on the city drive of the battlefield monuments. Kids found the movie/cyclorama loud due to the cannon fire, but have a new appreciation of our history.

This was our first stop when we went to Gettysburg. The museum has a lot of artifacts and photos to look at and read. Really enjoyed the Cyclorama! The Civil War film gives you a quick overview to refresh your memory. This should be your first stop!

This entire "museum experience" is simply a money making endeavor for this Gettysburg Foundation. Your see a slanted movie about the entire Civil War and then you are escorted to the Cyclorama painting where you get to spend maybe 15 minutes actually seeing the painting and then your escorted out. The painting itself is simply magnificent in it's current condition.... More

We had come a few times to the old museum. This is the first time that we came to the new museum. We were dissapointed that there is now a charge to go into the museum. It is a very large museum, but my husband said he liked the old one much better.

If you enjoy history do not miss the museum and plan on being there for 2 plus hours. Be sure to also see the movie.

This museum had it all including a film, artifacts and the incredible cyclorama. I could have spent a whole day there however we purchased the tour bus package which took us to the actual battlefield. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of facts with us. I would definitely recommend the package that includes everything

It is a no-brainer that if you go the Gettysburg, this is the first place to go. The short film about the Civil War is great. The Cyclorama is a cool experience. The Civil War exhibit is absolutely fantastic. There are so many great artifacts and they are displayed beautifully. The main gift shop is also here and it has... More

Everything at the Center is first rate. The staff are excellent. They know of that which they are speaking, they are friendly and helpful; they are perfect! We purchased the film, the cyclorama, the museum and the bus tour of the battlefield. The movie will bring you to tears; as will the cyclorama. The museum is very well done. The... More

Having grown up in Fredericksburg, VA, I knew quite a bit about the Civil War, but I still learned facts during my visit to the museum. The information was fairly presented, but from the Union and Confederate view. The cyclodrama and show was excellent. There were numerous artifacts on display, and other short movies. We spent 2 1/2 hours in... More
