This bridge was destroyed in the 1996 flood, but fully restored to its original state (with some future flood mitigation in mind to raise it) As much as could be salvaged was used to reconstruct to its original beautiful color.

This bridge has history. Visited with my family in April and I gound it amazing how bridges like this still exist. Minus the graffiti art that dawned the inside, the bridge itself was in great shape. I recommend this to anyone who visits.

This is a little off the beaten path. Nice place to visit and walk and take your mind back in time as you walk over the bridge. Like many place in Gettysburg, it has been recently restored. I am always amazed at how well things, in general, are taken care of in and around Gettysburg. Shows how people value this... More

A great covered bridge built in 1854 and in great condition today. It is located just off the Gettysburg battlefield but well worth the trip.

You cannot drive, only walk across it. Good place to have a picnic by the water or fish in the creek. There is an informative plaque near the bridge, hard to read due to weathering but still neat history on the bridge. Stop by for a few minutes or longer to check it out whilst touring the area.

If you have not been exposed to covered bridges, this will be a quaint excursion. For us, having seen many, it was just so-so. Nice but nothing special. It all depends on your perspective and previous experience. But it is close enough that there is no pressure to take the short drive to see it.

This amazing place makes an impression. Silence, calm, the sound of a small waterfall. This place must definitely be seen;) The bridge looks impressive

It is hard to find, there Isn't a direct route to get there. It is a beautiful little area. There were some rude locals when we visited the site. Other than that it is a nice little hidden treasure.
