My job allows me to fly over and onto the water to pick up clients and it is beautiful. I have had some great times there. Beaches are beautiful and it can be a lot of fun.

What's not to love? Fire Island is a fantastic getaway on the beautiful south shore of Long Island It's easy to get to via ferry, jet ski or car from Robert Moses and walk. Beautiful beaches, cute town Good shops and food

This is a great venue for gay people and friends. Probably good to point that out at the start to avoid feeling out of place! The route to get there with the LIRR train/shuttle/ferry package is fantastic and works so seamlessly ($36 each, return included)....More

What else can I say.. Took the ferry over to FIRE ISLAND NATIONAL SEASHORE to Sailors Haven and walked the beach. Walked for 4 miles and ran into only two people. We saw more dolphins than people. Amazing place. The sunken forrest was awesome. Little...More

It was a quick drive to this island, not really much to see, it had a walking trail with nothing to really see but bushes.

NYC residents and other tourists can visit LI during summer traffic season. Locals prefer Great LI beaches in off season!!

There is a lot of history, nature and fun to be had at the national seashore. Whatever you come for, plan the day around your visit. Walk, sunbathe or just enjoy!

The fire island national seashore has the best beaches in the world. They are wife sweeping beaches with white powdery sand. The Atlantic ocean here has waves you can spend the day jumping and riding.

Not sure, we usually take the ferry from Sayville to Sailor's Haven, which is about half an hour from boarding to arrival. At peak times, give yourself extra time - the ferry has finite seating. Once full, you wait for the... More
