Nothing was open & no shops, all the action seemed to be on the other side of the river. If you are just wanting to walk, that is all it’s good for. The water also is terribly dirty and overall a huge waste of time.

The walk is a perfect excuse to get out of your hotel. It’s accessible, lots to see lots to do people are friendly it’s very non-agenda based walk

RIverwalk is now a ghost town. Many of the restaurants and retail spaces are closed - and the ones that remain are suffering. Not sure what the issue is - but from a tourist perspective - not worth a special trip. I was there 4...More

The Riverwalk is an attraction that is unique among American cities. It is a nice small waterway below street level bordered by restaurants and bars. Some downtown hotels have direct access from their lobbies. At first glance, you are drawn in by the water, the...More

Ok, so its unlikely to be on a typical European holiday makers 'must see' list - but if you're in the area - and the Jax beaches, A1A drive, Amelia Island and St. Augustine area is great for scenery, nature trails, cycling, fishing and even...More

Unless you are into old buildings, it's totally not worth your time, HIt the beach instead. Those were the words of the person we spoke to at the tourist office downtown, Jax. Plus there were so many homeless person downtown, it's was overwhelming to see.

Not a lot to see. Water was beautiful. Stores out dated. Nice view if walking around. Nice place to exercise. A few nice restaurants.

Honestly, there are a lot of places I would choose before Riverwalk. It's pretty empty with many closed up businesses. About an hour north is St Simon's Island, a lot nicer place to visit and much more romantic.

No. Across the river from the landing on the Southbank. You can take the water Taxi from the landing across to the Southbank.
