I went to the zoo solo on a Saturday in July. The ticket price to get in was less than $20. The parking is free and abundant. Gates opened on time and there was not a line to get in. I didn't see anywhere to...More

It's always a good day to go to the Jax Zoo. The train is the best and only way to see the Cheetah, plus a nice ride around the park. The Land of the Jaguars is the absolute best. Thank you mr and mrs weaver...More

There is a lot to do in this mid-size zoo, it has a wide variety of animals and the arrangement of the areas is well laid out. It gets hot sometimes but there are areas with misters that cool you off. The shows are great...More

We took a group of kids there, ages 2 - 16, and everyone had a blast. Feeding the Lorikeets was a special treat, and the train ride made the little guy very happy. There was a manta ray exhibit, where you could reach in and...More

We so enjoyed the zoo. We were here 4 hours and still didn't see everything. We really enjoyed the Campground Critter show and the Butterfly Garden. The train ride was nice with the guide telling you al the animals names. We would go back.

The Jacksonville zoo is honestly the best zoo in all of the southeast of the United States. The penguin exhibit is my favorite. You have the ability to pet sting rays! Fun fact: if you take a boat to the zoo, you get in for...More

Lived in Jacksonville for over 20 years and never visited the zoo. Last month we took our grandson to the zoo and found it to be a delightful experience. For a small zoo (compared to San Diego) the JAX zoo is well equipped with a...More

We went on a day the forecast said it would be above 92 degrees Fahrenheit because I was told by family that it would be half price. Be aware they no longer offer that discount. We visited the reptile house which was minimally air conditioned....More
