I have mixed feelings about animals in captivity. But I understand that for conservation purposes zoos are needed. You have to show people animals to get them to care about saving them in the wild. With that said, this is the nicest zoo I have...More

Always a treat to go here, even for only an hour or so. Staff is wonderful and informative especially the lady at the giraffe exhibit. Feeding hour shows more movement.

One of the finest zoos; one of the best resources Jacksonville has to offer! Family membership is a bargain- you can bring visiting members with you & they get in for free!

The zoo has grown so much in the last few years. It is a place now that one can spend an entire day and still not see everything! My family has been going for over 15 years and it gets better every visit!

I've never had a bad visit to the Jacksonville Zoo. I've enjoyed it since a young kid and it's even better now. Highly recommend it.

While we picked the wrong day to go (upper 90's and lots of humidity) and wrong time (afternoon). We sweated our way through the whole zoo in a few hours. Some of the look outs really put you close to the animals, like the giraffe...More

I agree with everyone...for the most part there is little no zero wait time to purchase tickets. If you are going to upgrade and get season passes (worked out VERY well for my family) it takes about 15 minutes to do all the... More

We've been on a day with no crowds and saw 'everything' in 4 hours. We have a tendency to stop at exhibits and observe for a few minutes instead of just blowing past with a cursory look. If there are large crowds or field... More
