This was a visit with friends while I stayed just over the border. The art is amazing. The staff friendly and the gardens were beautiful. Plan on spending the day there and bring a sweater. It was freezing.

Lovely gardens along the river to enjoy. Good food at the Cafe. They had a special collection of silks and gold and a great permanent display of 17th Century Meissen Porcelain. I'll go back one day. The Cafe has good food also.

The gardens are lovely. There are paths, stairs, and fountains that my 3 yr old really enjoyed exploring. They also provide you with a little art kit with paper and coloring pencils for the kids to draw the gardens. We enjoyed the interactive section also.

Definitely! They have an interactive section that's perfect for children. In addition, they offer paint kits that children take out to the gardens to sit and paint.

We were there for approximately 90 minutes walking the gardens and the museum. However, I would a lot for two hours; maybe longer if you're bringing kids along. They have interactive activities for kids and even offer paint... More
