I visited with my family and we found the staff polite and the exhibits both interesting and the perfect size. I highly recommend this museum.

Dreary Sunday, empty section of downtown and a number of homeless trying to find a warm place to hole up. Not the best environment to get you in the right mood. Good news was street parking is free on Sunday and the homeless mind their own business. The museum charges $8 but you can get $3 off with AAA. Hard... More

This small jewel is on three floors, the ground floor mostly being occupied by a shop and restaurant. It has a very pleasing airy and welcoming interior with a tall atrium with stairs rising either side to the galleries. When we visited the Mark Rampolla was the highlight for me... Baconesque and menacing. Getting up close and personal with the... More

MOCA Jacksonville is in a re-purposed downtown building with galleries covering three floors. During our visit we saw extensive exhibits of works by Hans Hofmann and Frank Rampolla. Both were beautifully mounted and highly enjoyable due to excellent curation and labels. MOCA is a must-see for lovers of contemporary art presented in a museum environment that Jacksonville should be very... More

We have visited twice on trips to Jacksonville. The exhibits have been very interesting both times. It is a manageable size, and you can see everything in 1-2 hours. We also had dinner in the museum restaurant, and I was very happy to have a couple of vegan choices, and the food was quite good.

Small gallery . The art was good but limited. The gift shop was really nice. Did not eat there but the cafe looked good.Staff rather subdued . I liked the city skyline going in. The visiting photo museum was interesting and the wood cuts were amazing. I think a more modern, Young and risqué approach would serve the city better.

The museum exhibits are wonderfully curated. The layout over three floors with open spaces is beautiful. There are special community programs and a nice shop that features some local artists work.

Finding parking is a nightmare. The building looks big but there really isn't much art being exhibited there. The 1st floor is a shop & restaurant. The next 2 floors are art. Above that, I have no idea what is up there because of the security guards. I've been here a few times & sometimes there is interesting art. But... More

i love MOCA, i had my wedding party in it, it was fantastic to do that in a museum, the set up was perfect, but i keep going to all sorts of events, it is a very active museum, right in the heart of Jacksonville
