this is a fun little Speakeasy. It's easy to walk past it on the street because the storefront looks like a post office and it the window even says Jax post. It is actually a speakeasy where you go through the back and everything was very classy. They have some very unique drinks. a little on the pricey side. Their cocktails were $11 a piece but it was a fun experience I would go back with to show somebody else the experience.

This is fun bar located in downtown Jacksonville. You will easily walk past it if you don't pay attention. They serve good drinks and we had a relaxing evening.

Not what it’s name implies. Do not waste your time. Used to be a fun speakeasy with signature cocktails, staff who entertained, and friendly clientele with old fashioned music and reels. Now plays hip hop. No air conditioning, understaffed, and dirty.

A great find! Went on a Tuk'n tour and it was one of the stops. A awesome little speakeasy hidden behind a barber shop. Very interesting signature cocktails. Very clean and fun bathrooms. Would definitely recommend!

This place is a waste of time and money, nothing but over priced drinks. If your looking for bar workers dressed as period 1920's people forget it they are not here. As for the drinks over priced and not worth it. If you really want well made drinks try some of the other dives downtown. Also you must visit Jacksonville for the Jacksonville Jazz festival going on right now! The Jacksonville Jazz festival occurs every May and lasts 3 days, lots of well known jazz artist and good Latin music as well. Jacksonville is not much of a town but the Jazz fest in late May makes it shine. So next year plane on coming to Green Acres I mean Jacksonville for some good sea food and good live entertainment in late May. The beaches are nice here just stay away from Jacksonville Beach and American Beach both are trouble spots and home to the sagging pants (Thugs) loud aggressive types. Talbot Island state park has a excellent family beach and the Hood Rats tend not to hang out there.

Volstead is a speakeasy themed bar with charming décor, excellent drinks and friendly service. The first room you enter has an old-fashioned television playing old films with couches and comfy chairs. Imagine a 1920's living room with lively music playing. The main room has a large bar in the center which offers a great variety of signature drinks. Their drink menu includes a detailed history of the Prohibition and Volstead's relation/vision. The servers wear period based outfits that are quite delightful. The prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. HINT: If your looking to impress your lady on a first date, this is an ideal place for an after dinner drink!
