Truly a beautiful cathedral. One could easily spend a few hours here. So much beauty, so much glory to God reflected in every aspect of its architecture. A work of art. Truly a place of reverence. I would love to see how it is decorated for Easter and Christmas. Even if you are not Catholic, it is worth visiting for its beauty alone.

This Catholic church is stunningly beautiful! Over 100 years old with a storied history just as long, this church is worth a stop. Not sure if tours are given... I attend Mass there and have also been for several baptisms and weddings. If you do visit, please be mindful of any services that be going on. Otherwise, the history and decor make it a sight to see.

We paid a quick visit here between Sunday masses. There is metered parking right outside. The church is impressive outside and even more so inside. The stained glass is awesome, the marble is great and there is a huge organ. Peaceful place for quiet reflection or to light a candle.

The Basilica was closed, on the front of the church were some homeless drinking which was not a welcoming effect. Parking was easy. Too bad that we could not go inside.

My wife & I arranged our schedule when we were visiting Jacksonville to attend Sunday Mass at the Basilica. After the service, we lingered to admire the architecture. Though the interior structural and decorative features were not nearly as ornate as many other basilicas & cathedrals we've visited around North America, I thought the combination of subtle lighting within the sanctuary & the brightly colored stained glass windows made it one of the more stunning visually.

This church is a beautiful example of heavenly inspiration that would appeal to Catholics & non-Catholics alike. We recommend you add the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception to your next Jacksonville itinerary. You will not be disappointed.

I'm not catholic, but I wanted to see this basilica before I went to Italy. I guess I was itching to go, so I thought I'd get a head start on seeing catholic churches. It's truly beautiful. The stain glass windows and high ceilings are really majestic. If you are catholic, then you will love it. If not, then you can still appreciate the art and the feel of being in a historic and a true gem of Jacksonville. The pews are solid wood and gives it a real authentic feel. I didn't get to hear the pipe organ, but I'm sure it's beautiful.
The church bells ring and fill downtown with a remembrance of the old Jacksonville that existed before the great fire of 1901. Honestly, downtown has never been the same since then, but this church remains. Awesome!

If you're downtown Jacksonville definitely take a stop over just to see the architecture. It's a beautiful old building with spires and sculptures. It's a real beauty

This Catholic Basilica is well worth a visit for those interested in churches and architecture. Beautifully maintained. The basement gift shop is also worth a quick stop.

Beautiful church. Nice wedding. Historic building worth visiting even if there is no ceremony or church service.

This is truly an amazing church. If you never intend to tour Europe, you should see this church. Very European in design, and all that you expect from a finely designed church. Classical and wonderful, lovely windows and great acoustics. Stop by for high Mass during Easter or Christmas for the full effect.
