Not many chances to visit a light ship. Really interesting that the crew was there for a couple of weeks at a time. Very spartan accommodations.

Who knew we had lightships?? I didn't even really realized what the ship was until I read about it on the one of the plaques inside the ship. Super interesting to think that a crew of 17 folks parked themselves 5 miles off the coast...More

If you have not done the Maritime Museum, it is a must. It is also a reminder of the impact we have had on the animals.

This tour is included as part of the admission to the Maritime Museum, but it's well worth your time to walk a couple hundred yards to where it's docked to get inside. Formerly used as a floating lighthouse, it's interesting to see the crew quarters...More

Glad we went outside of the museum to board this old relic. The fvolunteer tour guide knew his stuuf and provided a great tour!
