Our visit was included with the Maritime Museum. We had realized the concept of a floating and staffed lighthouse.

We came to see the museum and we were happily surprised to find we could tour this amazing vessel. We were given a short tour and then left on our own to explore. Fun!

It’s amazing to to tour this lightship and try to imagine what it would be like to be out in a storm being tossed around on this small ship. I didn’t even know that there was such a thing as floating lighthouses that were substitutes...More

This was a fun ship to visit. The entrance fee was included in the Maritime Museum fee.You can go onboard, and check out the old bunkers, mess hall, radio room, and the kitchen. It's a nice piece of history. Check it out!

Neat to see. You can walk through the entire upper levels of the ship, crew quarters, officers quarters, dining and radio room. No additional cost to visit; it's included with the museum ticket.

Admission comes with your ticket to the excellent museum next door. Below decks you see the crew's quarters, mess facilities, radio room, etc. I would hate to be in this ship when it was in service sitting out storms along the coast.
