I brought my visiting my visiting God daughter and she loved it. She met some new friends there and we ended up staying for over an hour. I loved how there is a separate area for the little ones. I would really recommend a picnic and break at this great park for some free fun. Minutes from downtown Astoria just... More

Lots to do at this park! Glad we found it. Kids needed somewhere to stretch their legs after driving from the coast and this was perfect!

Our large group that for lunch at the park, the kids love the playgrounds, the grassy green areas and picnic tables were perfect for a picnic. The only downside is that The picnic tables are not ADA accessible and my 80+-year-old mother had an extremely difficult time there.

This park has it all -- two castle-like playgrounds (one especially designed for the littlest kids), a detached skate park, a basketball court, a large, covered picnic area, 2 bathroom facilities, grand, sloping lawns, a separate area with nice trees and grass, and views of Youngs River Bay. On-site and street parking is available. Dairy Queen is right next door... More

This is a great park for kids. They have two different areas one for little kids and one for older. Kids will be busy for hours you might have a hard time getting them to leave.

As one of a family that was growing up in Astoria in the 60's and 70's we all played and swam at the pools and park that were constructed post world war 2. It was built on the sunny south slope of our often windy cold summer little town. Then times were hard on Tapiola, The pools had aged and... More

This is an awesome play park with many different structures. Be prepared to stay for awhile since the kids are never ready to go. It has an awesome view of the river and there is a Dairy Queen on the corner!

My kids love to go to this park, but as a parent, I don't enjoy it. There are too many enclosed spaces where your children cannot be seen. Also, many of the visitors (adults and children alike) do not give the park rules a passing glance, and make it a less pleasant experience for everyone else.
