Yes this is mostly a Goonies themed museum as the building was used in the opening scenes of the movie. However there are many other movies that were made in the local area that have various props on display (Short Circuit & Kindergarten Cop etc.). There are other displays that are interactive that are based around making films, good one... More

You get to film some fun projects like a car scene with a green screen, a "The Shining" face through holw in the door scenes, and some others. Quite small and kitschy. A bunch of Goonies memorabilia.

Although it is not a super long tour, if you are a fan of Goonies it is a really fun museum to experience. This museum also appeals greatly to filmmakers as there is a whole "shoot-your-own-scene" part to it at the end of the tour. My girlfriend and I played around with the film equipment but didn't really shoot anything... More

It doesn't take much time to tour this very small museum, but there is a film inside that shows all the various movies that have been made in the state or Oregon, and we found that to be very interesting. This old jail was featured in the movie "Goonies", so if you are a fan of that film, you will... More

I was super excited to go to the jailhouse from the Goonies opening scene..huge Goonies fan. The woman at the cashier was awesome, she had great energy. The museum was small and had couple of props from the different films. Bought an awesome shirt..took some fun pics..spent about 15/20 minutes inside. Check it out icy our a fan!

Very small but interesting info on the Goonies and other films filmed in Oregon. Loved the film set that you can make actual little movies on. So glad there is not an extra charge for this.

My husband and I visited this is part of a trifecta of three historical sites Astoria. It was interesting to see this former jail cell, was also the site of the filming of the movie " Goonies" and some other various movie scenes. You can visit the gift shop, walk-through and step into the prison cells, and even put a... More

We enjoyed our short stay only because we were determined to spend more than 10 minutes there. As you walked in the jail, movie sayings were taped all over the walls and ceiling. We were told if we could identify ten sayings and name the movie [not repeat a title] we would win a prize. We did and won a... More

Small but great. This is for the goonies fan nerd for sure. Worth the $6 entry fee. Don't expect a grand museum or you will be disappointed. Has a great gift shop for the true goonie fan.

I would recommend if you want to have fun making movies and see Goonies paraphernalia. I thought that it would have been more fun with kids.
