Nestled at the bottom of the Blue Davis Mountains and very edge of the Chihuahua Desert, this gem still has every Texas attribute; open, tough, and beautiful. Local wildlife include coyotes, pronghorn antelope, white tail deer, an occasional mountain lion and bobcats. Hotel is built...More

$20 per night plus $6 each person entrance fee daily. That's fine if you have facilities that can be used. Grounds have accumulated trash, deteriorated fire rings and bath facilities that look and perform like they are 30 years old. They allow HORDES of people...More

We stayed at Indian Lodge for 3 nights and were very pleased. The park rangers were helpful and kind people. The pool was clean and the atmosphere breathtaking. I didn't want to leave.

Very nice campground in the mountains with level campsites and full hookups. Great for hiking, look outs that you can drive to and excellent campground support from the front office to the campground hosts.

Stayed at Indian Lodge and enjoyed the beautiful views. Room was very clean with easy access. Loved sitting on porch and watching thunderstorms and hearing the singing of the barn swallows with nests of babies in rafters.

We just came for the day and wish we could stay longer. Off the beaten path and beautiful. We drove up and walked around the lookout, my son found a geological marker, we took pictures and enjoyed the view!

When we arrived we thought what have we done?! Middle of nowhere, hot, limited cell service, no TV... for five days?. By the time we left, we were sad and decided we could have easily stayed another week. Beautiful hikes, birds, wildlife and friendly people....More

Spent a few hours at the Davis Mountains because my Dad would go there as a kid... beautiful country, similar to Big Bend, but smaller... the state park has a few interpretive centers, but the main draw is the incredible Indian Lodge (try to make...More

We did not have AT&T cell service at most locations inside Davis Mountains State Park. However, it did work in specific places (top of Skyline Drive, in the Blackbear Restaurant, top of a hill while we were out hiking... More
