We enjoyed an afternoon over at the Fort with my mother and sisters. An educational history tour, but thats what a lot of Baltimore is! There's lots of walking, and we were able to borrow a wheel chair for my mother who was having trouble with her ankles at the time. I'd recommend mainly because it's such a huge part... More

This place males you understand why America is great. You can see a lot of hands on things. The video was done very well. I remember at the end the curtains parted and you saw the post flag. That did not happen. That was the only let down.

What a great start. Don't miss the opening presentation. It is impressive and inspiring, especially on a bright sunny day. There is a lot of walking on the touring. It can be very hot and humid in the summer. I suggest going on a sunny autumn day.

Get the feel of the place, where obstinacy and courage overcame superior odds. A great piece of history. Best in mild weather so you can wander about. Not to be missed.

Although this is not the most popular national historic site in America, it certainly warrants a visit. During the summer and early fall Fort McHenry is easily accessible from the Baltimore Inner Harbor by water taxi. However, this service stops sometime during October. Therefore, you will need to use your own car, a cab, or other public conveyance if traveling... More

The Fort is well preserved and fun to walk around. Get there in the morning early enough to read some of the information of the War of 1812 in the museum, then head into the fort for the flag raising ceremony. Doing so made the flag raising really meaningful. The park service has an alert saying the movie is not... More

History comes alive. The Visitor Center is free and tells you all you wanted to know about Francic Scott Key, the writing of the national anthem, the War of 1812, etc. There is also a terrific movie. All this before you get into the fort. A great site for all ages!

This is an excellent historical site and one of our nation's greatest parks. The park rangers are phenomenal. It is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch and watch the boats.
