A good time.

There are better zoo's throughout the country, so this isn't one of them. But it is decent, and they work really hard at promoting it. It is worth the trip if you have extra... read more

The new penguin exhibit is amazing and you can get and up close look at them during feelings. My favorite part was being able to feed the male giraffe for the small fee of $2. There are also camel rides. I love how all of the staff members are friendly and willing to answer questions and provide interesting facts about... More

My daughter arranged an up close and personal encounter with the elephants, as a father's day gift to me. The big day came and sure enough, I met not one but two African grey elephants. The meeting was supervised by two handlers who answered all questions and gave great detail to learning what is known about these gently creatures. One... More

There are better zoo's throughout the country, so this isn't one of them. But it is decent, and they work really hard at promoting it. It is worth the trip if you have extra time, it is decent size with decent exhibits. I think all kids like zoos and they will like this one as well. You can probably do... More

This is a great zoo, it's a good size and something you can do in 4-6 hours (if you want a shorter day experience). My dealbreaker is simple: price! We paid $32 for me and my 4 year old to get in. Way too expensive (my opinion). Here are my Tidbits: - Get there early, parking is free. - Tram... More

I was visiting Baltimore with my husband and 2 daughters ages 10 and 14. We decided to go to the zoo. We were expecting much more from the zoo and were disappointed. Many exhibits were closed and not many animals to view. Another compliant we had was the price to get into the zoo was ridiculous - very hard to... More

The zoo was clean and the staff was very friendly although it wasn't as big as we had thought based on pics from the internet and comparing it to the one in Philly........still a nice place to spend a day. Misting fans throughout for people to cool off made the warm day a little nicer. It only took us about... More

nice zoo, lots of walking uphill though, but you can catch the tram, food is priced as you would expect but you can take your own food in for the day, many places to sit and eat.

I have always been a fan on the Maryland Zoo, and the new penguin exhibit just made it even better. There was lots of different vantage points to see the penguins, so we never felt crowded. It is great that there is an inside area with air conditioning so you can beat the summer heat for a few minutes. As... More
