If you love Poe, you must see the grave sites, both the current and original. This cemetery is the perfect final resting place for Poe. It is peaceful even though it's in the middle of the city. The two gravesites are on opposite sides of...More

It's right there on the corner, so obvious you think this can't be it, but it is. Be sure to venture further in to see his original resting place (way in the back) and the other notables.

In addition to poe's grave, there are other unusual types of burials. Stones were nestled into every nook and cranny around and under the church. A very interesting cemetery!

Come for Poe, stay for ambiance and other historic graves. You'll find the Poe monument as you enter. This is not his original burial place (you can find that elsewhere in the graveyard), but walk around the graveyard. McHenry is buried here.

There is a ton of history in the graveyard that is in addition to Poe. Take time to appreciate it. The area is not crowded and there is a sense of peace while walking through the graves. Some date back to the 1700's which is...More

An appropriately old and spooky grave yard in the middle of downtown. A new grave and an old grave, some family members and some prominent members of Baltimore's past. Worth a 20 minute stop.

If you were a Poe fan you'll want to see his final resting place. It's easy to get to an d nobody will rush you. While there walk the grounds.

Finally visited this for a couple of hours but really you only need about half of that to very thoroughly see this entire site. Loved reading all the tombstones and plaques about all the people buried, or not anymore, here, as the case may be....More

The grave site is in an old church yard on a busy downtown street. Parking is limited. The church is no longer in operations. So with all of that, it was a bit of pain to get to and park to see a large headstone...More

Interesting historical grave - Poe's grave (and placards) tell his story in a very shortened version. Worth checking out.

A police officer was closing the gates at 6 pm in the summer to the cemetery and let us in before he locked it.
