Not your typical art museum but a collection of very unusual art and eclectic objects. Good way to spend a couple hours in Baltimore. Worth the admission price. Art objects change periodically so come back a year later to visit again.

Dedicated to artists who flew below the Art World radar (or who are still flying under the radar) this is an inspiring, energetic and wonderful museum. "Outsider" artists are those who never went to art school, were untrained or just picked up a brush,a hammer,...More

I make a point of seeing every new exhibit at AVAM, and I bring everyone who visits me here in Baltimore to it. It’s an amazingly beautiful and moving collection. The art is primarily by self-taught artists who make art to deal with tragedy, illness...More

I love the a van. It's always a great afternoon. The exhibits are phenomenal, love the gift shop. And if the restaurant is open for a snack or a cocktail, it's worth the time!

Very unusual museum with a great gift shop. Found lots of quirky holiday gifts. Never too crowded which is a plus.
