This hall which dates from the early '80s was the last in a line of four halls that were designed in a similar style by one acoustician - Ted Schulz of Bolt Beranek and Newman. None of the halls were successful acoustically but Meyerhoff was the best of them. I enjoyed listening to the concert and there was some work... More

If you are in Baltimore when the Baltimore Symphony is performing, you owe it to yourself to go to the concert. The musicians are fantastic. And the conductor, Marin Alsop, is charming and funny and makes the music accessible. She was the first woman to be hired as conductor of a major American orchestra. We went to the performance on... This symphony hall is beautiful and impressive. I attended a large graduation ceremony here and the venue, from the lobby to the seats and the ambiance to the sound quality were all superior. There are several parking garages conveniently located within just a few blocks in several different directions.

A Wonderful youth orchestra program - rated one of the best in the country - so many very talented youths of all ages - acoustics are phenomenal - not a bad seat in the house.

My wife and I spend a very enjoyable evening at the Meyerhoff. This event was to benefit the LifeBridge Health System. Sheryl Crow was amazing. The venue is a beautiful facility although the acoustics definitely leaves something to be desired. It's a real shame that a venue named a "Symphony Hall" apparently wasn't designed with the music in mind.

Heard Tchaikovsky symphony and Rachmaninov piano concerto #3. Phenomenal soloist and sound. Building is nice and modem. Three tiers. They have student rush tickets $10 and public rush $25. Great deal if there are seats available. Rush tickets are usually in the rear orchestra but we sat in row U and they were great seats.

For music lovers the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is just the magical place to go for some outstanding concerts. The Baltimore Symphony is wonderful and the guest performers are also very enjoyable. There are programs for children, young folks and all ages. A tremendous benefit to Baltimore. The hall has no bad seats and the acoustics are excellent. Well worth at... More

This is one of the best symphony halls I've visited, and I've been to many. It's design is timeless, excellent acoustics, comfortable seats, friendly staff. Attending concerts here is always a pleasure. And a special shout out to the BSO, happy 100th!

For out of town visitors - there are some nice hotels and restaurants nearby - Brexton Hotel, City Cafe to name a couple. Ample and safe parking is nearby. You can grab a drink before the event inside if you like and sometimes during intermission. Most seats are good except for the balcony seats even with or behind the stage.... More
