I worried this would be a tacky experience and that the touristy restaurant would have terrible food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was festive and historic. The food was very good. While the meals were expensive, they were not more pricey than those at other restaurants in the vicinity. The biscuits the server brought before the meal were... More

We ate at the Pirate's House about a week before St. Patrick's Day. I have to say that the spooky historic pirate atmosphere was altered a little by the twinkly green lights and garland. But the food was awesome. I had fried shrimp - enormous and fresh - and my husband had the pecan fried chicken - huge serving and... More

Loved the history. The food is decent, but not spectacular. But the history of the location makes this place a must see.

I dined at this restaurant during the St Patrick's Day Festival weekend. There were no tables available in the dining room, so my party of 10 sat in the bar area. The staff were friendly and professional. I had a cocktail called Just Peachy, which was not very good. The orange juice the drink was made with was bitter and... More

Nice restaurant with pirate characters walking around. The décor was fitting. Pecan chicken was wonderful. Quite a wait, so go early to try avoid bar seating and slow service as they are very busy.

The fried chicken had some nuts and honey right on the chicken and made it taste great. The salads were tasty, service was courteous and speedy. We went here instead of Mrs Wilkes Dining Hall. So glad we did. Great fried chicken.....Take a tour and the tour guide will show the spooky pirate cellar. Lots of fun. I was told... More

Stopped there for dinner our first night in town. Definitely make a reservation for parties of 5+. It will save some waiting. The staff was friendly. Service was efficient. The food was really good. Didn't expect it would be, since the place seems a little touristy. Loved the gift shop upstairs. Do the tour after dinner if you can.

We only stopped in for drinks, and then visited the gift shop. Had we been in town longer, we would have made it a point to dine there. The staff were all very nice.

Very nice casual restaurant. Completely loved the old house in the middle and all the passage way that guests could peep down into. I really wished they were open for exploration. Décor was spot on. I ordered chicken fingers and fries, and they tasted homemade. The portions were much larger than expected. Having staff members walk around dressed as pirates... More

We loved the atmosphere and the food. People were dressed up in pirate costumes. There were some local authors there as well as a gift shop upstairs.
