Buy some fine chocolates from one of the city's many retailers and take a walk to Chippewa Square Park and find Forrest Gump's bench, though I hear the actual bench used in the movie is now in a museum somewhere. It's a beautiful park in the middle of the city. No panhandlers and lots of tourist posing for photos!

Lovely like all the parks and squares here. It is fun to take a pick in the famous bench spot and post a cheesey picture and quote about life and chocolates.

Not hard to understand why this location was chosen for Forrest Gump. So pretty, quaint. The way the sun shines through the trees is breathtaking.

While my family and I were in Savannah we had to visit Chippewa Square, the place where the famous Forrest Gump bus stop scene was filmed! The square was beautiful. Over the summer, there was lots of construction but it did not affect this square. Unfortunately, the bicycle carts that help people travel around the city were blocking the sign... More

We loved them all. They all hold such wonderful history and beauty. A great gem to visit in the heart of the city.

One of many squares on Bull street...a must see for any Forrest Gump Fan! This is where the bus stop scenes were filmed. If you are expecting the bus stop bench to be there it wasn't.

Small Park in the heart of the historic district and near Leopolds ice cream. If it wasn't for the link to the Forest Gump movie, I doubt most people would even stop.

One of the many pretty squares. We too looked for the Forest Gump Bench and were disappointed to learn it was in a museum. Wish they would put a statue on the bench where he sat, or at least a plaque..

I was looking forward to being in the spot where the famous Forrest Gump scene. The bench has been moved to a museum, and it's not even marked where it was

One of the many historic squares to visit while in Savannah but do not expect to see the famous Forest Gump Bus Stop bench. It has been moved to one of the museums in Savannah. This is still a beautiful place to see.
