This teaching zoo is a great place to spend a couple of hours. The shady trails make it a pleasant stroll. The wolves were not out when we went though.

I went here as a kid for field trips, and took my son back recently on a trip. The shady trails are nice to walk on, and the animals are very cool. The pathway through the marsh is neat. They have some interesting things inside...More

We really love visiting Oatland! It’s definitely worth the small admission fee!! There’s a guided trail to see animals and wildlife. It’s an easy walk with plenty of shade. We bring lots of water, bug spray, and binoculars when we go. I highly recommend!

Pleasant outdoor surprise. See some local wildlife in a small park like setting with nice trails. If you follow the trail guide completely, you’ll do a two mile walk.

Amardillo was missing from it's enclosure, red fox exhibit was closed. Ledbetter pond was an algae covered mess, so you couldn't see any aquatic life, but we did get to see alligators, birds of prey, bison, a cougar, and wolves. Would be a good place...More

We visited based on travel guide recommendations. This is more of an educational opportunity for children. There is limited wildlife and over half of the exhibits did not have any animals as advertised. Perhaps it was because it was hot but there really wasn’t much...More

My daughter wanted to see animals on our vacation, but there is no major zoo in the area. Oatland is small, but it provides a beautiful walk and good views of the animals they have. We went at opening time (10 am), and the animals...More

Oatland Island is a beautiful little gem not far from downtown Savannah. I've been here multiple times with kids ages 5-9 and I highly recommend a visit if the weather is nice. There are two walking trails, both offer a variety of animals. One path...More
