Sad to say we didn’t get to enjoy this venue. Wish this info was more readily available. I didn’t see any information that said this was temporarily closed.

Oakland Island Wildlife Center gives you an opportunity to walk through nature without the dangers. Nice pathways and boardwalks take you through a maritime forest with animals indigenous to Savannah's coast. We recommend taking a couple of hours to explore.

This was a great part-day trip. It took about 3 hours to go through. Good deal for what you pay for. Lots of walking but handicap accessible.

This teaching zoo is a great place to spend a couple of hours. The shady trails make it a pleasant stroll. The wolves were not out when we went though.

We really love visiting Oatland! It’s definitely worth the small admission fee!! There’s a guided trail to see animals and wildlife. It’s an easy walk with plenty of shade. We bring lots of water, bug spray, and binoculars when we go. I highly recommend!

Pleasant outdoor surprise. See some local wildlife in a small park like setting with nice trails. If you follow the trail guide completely, you’ll do a two mile walk.

Oatland Wildlife Center is one of the best family experiences in Savannah. It's much more than your average "zoo." There are all sorts of animals, including a petting zoo, but the setting is the best part. A historic building is the centerpiece, and the well-marked...More
