River Street is where the crowds gather. Lots of shopping, bars/restaurants, and tour starts. Excellent view riverside on historic River Street.

I really enjoyed strolling along river street a few weeks ago. There are some fun shops, pubs, and boutiques along the brick road and it's a lovely way to watch the sunset over the bridge as tourists board the old steam boats for an evening...More

Don't recommend going! It's a bunch of little shopping stores & I have to say decent restaurants. Nothing special about the Riverfront, it actually looks junky in the water with old boats and etc. We saw too many homeless drunk people during the day down...More

Lots and lots of gift shops and restaurants. Nice place to sit and watch the activity on the water. There is an elevator by the Hyatt to help the handicap and elderly to the lower area. The sidewalks and steps to it are very rough....More

Shops for the teens to wander. Bars for adults. Take the free ferry to see the street from the other side of the river and let the breeze cool you off.

You simply cannot go to Savannah without a walk on River Street. The food and shop options are unlimited. That said, if you want a more authentic Savannah trip, River street may not be for you.

We visited River Street each day or night we were in Savannah. There is so much history, restaurants, bars and stores on River Street. It seems to be the heart of the nightlife and day life too.

This is a nice spot on the river to see some neat maritime views, as well as shop. There are some shops that offer original items, but there are quite a free shops that stock all the same touristy junk. Be sure to stop at...More

Was an ok spot for our trip. Traveling with teens, this gave them a chance to be free and explore a little on their own, not getting too far from the adults. It is a very touristy spot with knick-knack stores, but it gave the...More

We only tried 2 on the river. fiddler's Crab House & Huey's. Both were good. outside of that, our worst meal was at Lady & Son's (it wasn't bad; but it wasn't great). The Old Pink House is a must!
