Wonderful lesson on what it was like to live in early 19th century Georgia. Guided tour was great with very interesting guide. Lots of history in this place. Learn what it end like to be Jewish in the early colonial south

If you don't take the tour it is just a temple building. The tour makes it special and teaches you several things of the jewish history of Savannah.

I only learned about this from a postcard, and I realized I was close to Monterey Square, so I went. They give tours frequently and you can't explore the place on your own, but I was allowed to look at the sanctuary, which was lovely....More
