A large feat of engineering - not a tourist attraction but just a big impressive bridge. When approaching from South Carolina - it is visible from miles away

Longer than the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge the Talmadge Memorial will take you across the Savannah River to South Carolina.

coming from South Carolina you cross this bridge (they are in the process of re-naming it?). very pretty view to downtown and surrounding area from the bridge and the bridge itself is architecturally interesting, much like the Ravenel bridge in Charleston

If you don't like tall bridges don't drive this one, its beautiful like sails and we went over to Hilton Head for a few hours so we drove over it back into Georgia

When we left Savannah, we purposely went over the bridge, even though it was a bit out of our way. The views were amazing and traffic flowed easily.

I really answered your question in my above statement and gave my review comments at the same time. So much for failure to read complete instructions before jumping in! Right?
