Overview
More
Not your average "Dry" Museum, the American Prohibition Museum is the first and only museum in the United States dedicated to the history of Prohibition. While here, guests will travel back in time to the early 1900s, as anti-alcohol rallies swept the nation and the "booze problem" was pushed to the fore-front of American politics.

We really enjoyed the museum, a lot more then I had anticipated. Very informative, all aspects of prohibition were presented. The displays were very cool, and so was the temperature inside. My wife, 24 year old daughter, and myself.

This is my first time here. It was cool, I haven't ever been to a museum like this. Very informative. If you are there stop and do the flapper dance, you and others will get a kick out of it! LOL

I have a strong interest in prohibition; this museum did not disappoint. It is very well done. Lots of cool displays and many artifacts from that era. The integrated speakeasy makes excellent cocktails. Do not miss if you're visiting Savannah!

Despite the title, you do not have to drink at this museum, but it sure is a nice treat at the end. They have such great memorabilia and the guides are all very informed. The speakeasy at the end of the tour is so cool....More

This was a great little museum that covered the prohibition period in American through displays, panels, talking pictures, and docents. There were some great pictures from the period on display and the docents were very knowledgeable. Beware the trick mirror! :-)

Our understanding is no problem with what you wear during the day but evenings require a little more thought with regard to possibly being more in tune with the period.

Hello! No company in Savannah offers free admission to the museum, but it does come included in several packages offered by Old Town Trolley Tours.
