We planned our tour for our first day in Savannah and it was perfect! Savannah Dan made it so much fun and interesting - we talked about it for the rest of the week and used the knowledge we learned from him to plan visits and food! Highly recommend this tour!!!

So glad we selected this tour. A great tour guide should make history fun. Dan did just that with stories from Savannah's founding through current politics. We learned about the many nationalities and religions which helped build this charming tour. The two plus hours flew by. Afterwards, we dined at a cafe Dan recommended and visited historical sites he suggested.... More

Saturday started so well for us with Dan's tour. His presentation was thorough and accurate pleasing the most demanding history buffs.

You want to know the nitty gritty? Go see Savannah Dan! He really is the man with a plan. He tells you all the good the bad and the ugly as you are strolling along. Walking or comfortable shoes a must, linen suit and Panama hat, well that's just icing on your steel magnolias. Dan is interesting, funny, and compassionate.... More

Chose this walking tour because of other reviews. Two enthusiastic adults and two Millennial sons who agreed reluctantly. Within five mins of his introduction the boys were chuckling and continued to enjoy the tour. Dan is a native of Savannah, an articulate historian and an actor whose animated presentation is polished yet flexible according to group. This is a two... More

Now this is a wonderfully educational way to see the oldest part of Savannah. Starting in the very oldest of Savannah's famous squares Dan, in his flamboyant style, walks you around as though he owns the whole town. He's like a southern Garrison Keillor even in his style of dress--a superb seersucker suit. Best of all: Dogs are welcome!

Great stories and background on a lot of the things you may see in passing but don't know the significance of until someone fills you in, then the city comes even more alive. I would strongly recommend this tour to first time visitors, but dare say even repeat or frequent quests of the city would learn a lot!

My only regret is we didn't do this on the first day of our trip but instead the last. We called and made reservations last minute (one day prior) having been disappointed in a previous tour with a different company. Dan does a wonderful job laying the groundwork for the history of Savannah while recommending restaurants and other activities. He... More
